The Lazy week

For the past few days I really haven't done anything except lounge around and do nothing, which has been great! I go back to school tomorrow which sucks but school will  give me some much needed  order to my life. I'm excited to start my art project although I have no idea what i'm doing. For english I have to write a speech about something that has been in the Australian media so i'm doing mine on feminism. I might post it on here if it goes well.

So this week has been very therapeutic and relaxing, on friday some friends of mine had a brunch which was lovely, afterwards I went with my dad to one of my favourite bookstores and to my delight they actually had the rookie yearbook 1 in stock! I have been wanting this book for ages so i'm so happy to have gotten it! I haven't read it all yet but so far I love it!
I will write a post soon about the rookie community.

Guess who's back!

Hello everyone

Yes I am still alive...

So..its been a while hasn't it, many things have happened in this absence of mine but don't worry i'm here to fill you in.

So way back a few month ago my sister and I went on a momentous trip to America. This trip was something so magical and I could never have imagined it to turn out the way it did since it was so perfect. First week I saw my grandmother in Florida whom I had not seen in 9 years! seeing her was a very lovely experience I was lucky to talk to her about my family and her children as well as clothes,Tv shows etc. After that my sister and I flew off to Philadelphia! Let me just say that Philly is an extremely cool, beautiful and interesting place! The incredible history there is magical and being the crazy American history fanatic that I am I was absolutely in my element. In Philly we stayed with and my Mothers brother and his family. This experience has changed my life, my uncle and his family whom I had never met before were so open, loving and friendly they let us walk right into their lives and act as if we were always there. I have created a bond with my family over their which I will be forever grateful for, this trip made me realize how much America is apart of me and that that interesting and weird connection I had always felt actually does make sense. I hope in the future to return and see the lovely gift of family that I have.

All together this trip was amazing and as well as spending time with  family I also did copious amounts of shopping, eating and exploring. I even got to spend a day in New York which was  stupendous!

Here are a sample of photos from the trip
                                                                      Florida!

6 Things that make early school mornings better

Hey everyone so I as you know i recently went back to school and along with all the joys of school is the task of waking up early and getting ready for school. These are a few things that have made my 6:30 am wake up mornings more fun.

1. Simple face wipes ||  These handy dandy wipes are a complete package they help get rid of pimples and refresh my face in the morning. They really wake me up.

2. Yogi Detox tea || This is is so yummy and I find its a great morning tea that cleans your system of toxins and prepares you for the day. Its also a lovely perk to have a cute mug to drink your tea out of!

3. Healthy Breakfast || So the best thing to fuel your body with in the morning is a nutritios fibre and vitamin filled meal. I find I really like oatmeal with some type of flavouring e.g. cinnamon, honey or even turmeric as well as some fruit on the side. Don't get me wrong I do love to indulge in some french toast once in a while but I usually don't have the time to just who some up.
4. Instagram || While I enjoy my breakfast I usually go on my "insta" account charly125 and check out the funky pictures people are posting. This gets rid of the urge to check to during class.
5. Agenda || Alos during breakfast I like to look over my agenda to catch myself up on any important details e.g. homework,up coming tests and birthdays.
6. Lip balm and Perfume || Lastly to complete my morning I like to put on some perfume so I smell wonderful though out the day, I really love the "eau de prep" prep perfume from Tommy Hilfiger it just smells so classy and well.. preppy. I also always dab on some lib balm, Nivea always has some great options.

How do you make your mornings better? Any tips?

Back to school.

Happy Monday everyone!

This past week I unfortunatly returned back to the hallowed halls of High school. So I'm not saying I love school, so don't turn on me but I'm kind of happy to welcome to it back. I know I enjoy and benefit from having a sense of structure in my life ,does anyone else feel that? So this year is a semi big year for me, I'm now in year 11 my second last year. Im suddenly much closer to the top of the food chain than ever before and I kind of love it! First of all yes i do have harder classes (I'm even doing two year 12 subjects Legal and screen acting) but all the subjects I'm doing are things I really enjoy so that makes studying way less of a chore. Secondly this year at my school we get "frees" which are basically lessons where we have nothing and are meant to study but not everyone does. After being back for a few days now I've realised how valuable "frees" are since if i don't dilly dally i can get my homework done and have a relatively free night (score!) And thirdly, its only happened a few times but I've noticed the younger students start to look up at fellow students and I for guidance and i kind of love it! the sense that I have this responsibly as an upper clansmen to help younger students (I know this sounds super cheesy) Anyway so as a whole Im glad I'm back at school the main thing I greatly dislike is MORNINGS! belch! I'm not really a morning person at all! or at least at the moment I'm not. Im always so tired and I end up rushing Because  I stay in bed to much. I usually bribe myself with a yummy breakfast.

Does anyone else feel like this?
