My Sixteenth Birthday!

Sweet Sixteen!

So this month was a wonderful month because it was my.... drum roll please! Sixteenth Birthday! yay! So i had been looking forward to my birthday for a while now because well who doesn't like to feel special. Birthdays have always been really special in my life and turning sixteen was no different.So for my birthday party this year i had really amazing party. The party was themed as the "A few of my favourite things tea party" On Facebook this was the party header.

Going against the Gatsby quote “And I like large parties. They’re so intimate." my party was an "intimate" party of maybe around 20. I ordered delicious foods such as croissants and macaroons. I also made chocolate almond cookies that were a hit!, mini salmon bagels and cucumber sandwiches. Of course there was tea and oh CAKE! I ordered a image cake that was coconut lemon flavour.

How AMAZING! does that cake look! I used my favourite Lilly Pattern and then found a Beautiful Unicorn quote.

Five lessons learned from Gossip Girl

1. Pistachio macaroons make everything better. (best from Laudree) 

Macaroons are a luxuries treat that can help heal wounds of any sort e.g (Missing Chuck Bass and having to pick between lonely boy and golden boy)

2. You can find love in the most unexpected of people. 

Dont judge a book by its cover is how the old saying goes, but you should also remember that people can change and that the guy who used to pick on you and make derogatory  comments might have turned into your very own prince charming ( complete with his own empire).

3.Technology is taking over our social lives and we need to keep up.

On Gossip girl everyones phone had a certain amount of power whether it was to send in tips to Gossip Girl or to isolate a leggy blonde from her friends. Don't fall behind on your apple updates or you might miss the latest Facebook cat fight or worse this seasons new Valentino.

4.Bad hair days can be avoided with a good hairband.

Blair always looked beautiful but she looked specifically perfection when flaunting a headband. If you find the right type for you face you can use head bands as a tool to frame accentuate your features. Yes i know all that with a head band! These are a few that have caught my eye.

5. Never pass up a chance to wear a poofy dress.

Even if the event is blowing up in scandal nothing goes better with a face held high then a glamourise dress the price of a town house.
